My experience

Hi! today I write this post for tell you about my experience with the blogs in english class. During all this semestre I writed about diferent topics (My favorite piece of technology, my favorite festivity, my favorite photo, favorite band of music, my favorite subject in this semestre, an expert on my field, etc...). I like some of topics and dislike others, but in general, this experience has been very interesting, because I don´t have many vocabulary or good experience in english past courses. I used to speak english before, but the blogs can help with my problem. I think that the english blogs are a creative idea, but I added to this, more blogs you make the exercise better and most interesting topics to tell the people about I thinks that I like english in the university has a gread experience, I really like this subject, maybe I´m not the best in the class but I try, for this, I will practice during the holidays and I try to read articles in english and listen to music in english.

 Finally I can reflect about this experience that it is so recommendable!

An Expert on my field

Hi my friends! today I will talk to them of a expert on my field. This expert is Verónica Figueroa. She is a Doctor of management sciences (in ESADE), she studied Public Administration in the Universidad de Chile (just like me!! is amazing!!), a posdoctoral from Center for Latin American Studies of the University of Stanford, California. She is a member of executive board of the vicerrectoria of extension, and of the Commission for equal oppotunities for gender of the Universidad de Chile. She was the director of the Escuela de Gobierno y Gestión Pública of INAP (in 2013-2015). In addition, Figueroa was a Presidental counselor of CONADI and Coordinator of United Global Compact in Barcelona. And if that is not enought, she was my teacher in the subject "Evolución y complejidad de la Administración Pública chilena"!!!.

I like this expert, because when I was his student (in the last year) I realized the passion she feels of Public Administration, by the public policies, and all the topic present in the universe of Public Management. Besides, the last year, I was feeling I didn´t like this career (I thought I had chosen wrong) and Verónica Figueroa It helped me to reconnect with this career.

A subject I have enjoyed studying this semester

Hi my friends! Today I´m going to talk about my favourite subjet during this semester, it´s "Estadistica para la gestión I"". My statistics teacher, Héctor Ormeño, is a excellent educator and a very funny person. Besides, my teacher has a Master in Economy in the "Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile", he study Commercial Engineering and  Public Administration in the "Universidad de Santiago".

 

In his classes, he teach us to use "STATA" and "Excel", a program employed in statistics for analyze datebase, for example, analyze the familiar composition by with Casen 2015 datebase. The teach taught the basic fundamental of statistics: regression, correlation, variance and others way of relation between  quantitative  variable income. 

The contents of this subjet are very fun, it´s are statistics descriptive, type of variable, measurement of association, distribution of datebase, dispersion and others thing of statistics (very fun).

I like this subjet, because I think that the statistics is very important for analyze and understand the society and his phenomenon. Besides,  is important learn this, because is neccesary for carry out public politics. In conclussion, I love this subjet.

 

Gorillaz

My favorite band is Gorillaz. They are a English virtual band create in 1998 (still active) for Damon Albarn (singer of "Blur") and Jamie Hewlett. Distinctive feature of this group is that his member are fiction character, they are: 2-D, Noodle, Murdoc Niccals and Russel Hobbs. Gorillaz has launched five studio albums: Gorillaz (2001), Demon Days(2005), Plastic beach (2010, and this  is my favorite album), The fall (2011) and, this year, Humanz. 

The members of Gorillaz reside in "Kong studios" and the fan can visit this house for a webside, but, this residence have many mystery and phase (four). For example, in the phase three, Murdoc caught fire of Kong studios to collect insurance for settle in "Nemo point", the most inaccessible place in the world (Plastic Beach, the new residence of Gorillaz). 

The musical style of this group it´s Dub, Hip-Hop, Trip- Hop, Electronic, Latin music and Reggae. Damon Albarn define the musical style of Gorillaz as "Zombie Hip-Hop". 

I like this band, because they make very good music (all the songs are excellent). Besides, I love sense of humor of the lyrics in the songs. 

London Calling

This photograph it´s an album´s front cover of the English band “The Clash”, this album was released in 1979 and is called “London Calling”. The photograph shows of bassist Paul Simonon destroying his "Fender" Bass against the stage at “The Palladium” in New Your City (EEUU) on 20 september 1979, during the “Clash take the fifth US tour”. Pennie Smith was who photographed the band for this album.

Although I think that destruction is not the way to solve problems, I like this photo, because it shows and represents the violence in the society of the 70´s and 80´s, and a formo of to express this was with music and others type of art. Besides, The Clash is my favourite English band, mainly because their songs deal with social problems.

In addition, this photo (album front cover of "London Calling") was named the "best rock and roll photograph of all time" by Q magazine in 2002.

National Holidays

My favorite festivity is National Holidays; all the September 18^th the country is full of flags, barbecues and kites.  This day, the Chileans celebrates the first national assembly of government, for the independence of Spain Kingdom. Sometimes, the Chileans are confused with the day of the independence (February 12^th). We celebrate the September 18^th as if it was the Independence Day out of tradition (since 1811).

This festivity, often I celebrate with my family in my house. We do barbecues and pie of meat, and cheese. In the afternoon, I and my brother fly kites in the park nearby of my house; besides, we play football with others boys.

In the night, I and my friends going a “Fonda” (it’s a traditional place for celebrate in this day), in this place there is food and traditional music.

I like this festivity, because all the people are happy this day, and I can eat lot of foot. 

My favorite piece of Technology

My favorite piece of technology it’s my cell phone, because this is a very comfortable thing. I have this cell phone since a year ago, I worked in the vacation and I use the money for buy this piece of technology. Almost all the time I listen to music and I take to picture of my friends, because they have a meme face. Besides, I use the social networks, principally facebook. I use my cell phone all the days, in the street and in the Metro for listen to music and read notice in the web side, and I use this piece technology for chatting with my friends and classmate of the university.

I like my cell phone because it’s a little and light; besides I allow for connect with the world. Probably, my life without cell phone would be productive.
